Under the mentorship of Dale's father and David's father-in-law, Mr. Earl Wood, they opened "Earl Wood Used Cars" in 1969 which would become one of the most successful used car businesses in Valdosta, "David Hodges Cars and Trucks."

David says the key to a successful business is not marketing gimmicks or smooth salesmen, it's through repeat customers who know that when you buy from David and Dale, you are treated like family. Nothing means more to us than our family and when you buy from us, that is exactly what you become! 

David and Dale, along with their daughter, Michelle, can still be found providing friendly, reputable service at "Old Hodges Auto Sales," in Valdosta today.
